Colour, gathered from the coast

Vibrant botanical still life & abstract paintings for contemporary interiors

Exploring nature's rhythm and abundance through layered colour, pattern and expressive brushstrokes from my Northern NSW coastal studio.

Corner of a modern living room with a beige lounge chair, a small side table with a vase of pampas grass, and abstract floral artwork on the wall. In the background, a dining area and window showing outdoor scenery are visible.

The studio

Hello, I'm Kaz

I paint what I bring home.

Most mornings start with a walk on the Tweed Coast — the headland, the creek, the rocky platforms.

Along the track banksia or flannel flowers usually find their way into my pocket.

In the studio shapes emerge and colour builds. I layer and blend acrylic paint on stretched canvas and artist board, deliberately leaving brushwork and line visible. Pastel and pencil reveal fine work and organic detail.

Each piece you see here is an original personally created. I read every enquiry so if you are considering an artwork for your space, I would love to hear from you.

Tell me about your wall space and I will be happy to offer my thoughts on what will compliment best.
